Leading through complex challenges – the uncomfortable truth

Tuesday February 28th 2012

Novotel Tower Bridge, London

Leaders and organisations are constantly faced with ongoing challenges – new markets, keeping a hold on old markets, the euro, new generations with new values and new ways of working, developing leaders for the future, global markets etc… the list goes on. In this Forum we are going to explore the question – How do we mobilise a group of leaders to lead through complex and vital challenges?

We could explore this from many angles – from our rich experience, we believe specifically focusing on how we develop the group to do this challenging work is one of the crucial places to start.

We will explore with you the reality of this kind of work and some of the uncomfortable truths, so that we mobilise each other and our leaders to thrive in the context of complex challenges.

We will share our experiences and ask you to draw on your rich experiences, so that together we develop a shared understanding and respect for working in this context. Importantly, we will share some of our thinking, based on rigorous theory, that informs our approach.

Talent Management in Turbulent Times

Thursday March 22nd 2012

The Park Royal, Warrington

We are inviting you to join us for a morning of exploration looking at best practice in Talent Management. MaST has worked in partnership with Learning Partners for over 10 years to provide our clients with the very best in Talent Management solutions.

Together MaST and Learning Partners deliver organisation specific Talent Management Processes which are designed to meet the organisation’s strategic challenges.

We are pleased to welcome Jacqy Munro, Director of Learning Partners to this Forum. We also look forward to hearing from Emma Dawkins, Assistant Director of HR (OD & Transformational Change) at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, who will give an insight into the strategy and practical development opportunities that have emerged from our joint work on Talent Management.

We look forward to exploring the following issues with you:

  •  How can we build strategic engagement in Talent Management in our organisations?
  • How do we make the Talent Management Process engaging and manage expectations well - so we keep the best and develop all?
  • How can we harness and harvest Talent opportunities in our own organisation?
  • What is effective behavioural feedback and how can a Development Centre provide focused development coaching?

Please join us to learn about the latest thinking and solutions in this area.
