Case study - UK and International Retail Financial Services Group (UKIRFSG)
Business need
This UKIRFSG were determined to offer their people a comprehensive range of development opportunities in order to be as competitive as possible in the market place. They needed a supplier who could handle the entire process so that the UKIRFSG’s internal Talent and Development team could be free to work on new projects and strategic initiatives. The UKIRFSG required a supplier that they could trust to deliver top quality innovative learning interventions in order to inspire individuals to implement their learning in the work place. However, it was also important to find an organisation who would help them to measure the effectiveness of the training, ensuring a return on investment.
MaST solution
With such a large scale project, MaST understood that the relationship between the UKIRFSG and MaST would be key to success. Our strategy included setting up our account management team to mirror the structure within the UKIRFSG. This meant a contract specialist to liase with procurement, an experienced account manager to liase with the UKIRFSG T&D team and client services to liaise with their administration staff. We appointed a MaST client service coordinator to be integrated and work on site at the UKIRFSG to manage their developmental intranet and administration. This ensures that we remain immersed in the UKIRFSG culture and can fully support corporate initiatives during our programmes and feed invaluable insights in to our delivery.
We deliver an extensive and varied programme of 26 different courses for the UKIRFSG. Each one has been tailored to fit their culture and the management suite has been created as a unique product for the UKIRFSG. The measurement and feedback mechanisms we have built in to our offering ensure that training is under constant review and evaluation and is continually refined to deliver results.
In the initial phase we helped the UKIRFSG raise the profile of learning and development within their organisation with a series of roadshows, publicity and other marketing support. This highlights the development options available and positions self-driven development as a central strand of career progression within the UKIRFSG.
Outcome
The UKIRFSG T&D are able to provide a comprehensive programme of learning and development for the UKIRFSG Group Division colleagues through MaST and are able themselves to focus on the next strategic initiative. T&D itself retains its strong, close partnership with the business whilst at the same time using MaST to develop the competitive edge of their people. Monthly management information on the programmes provided to the UKIRFSG by MaST along with up take on these self selecting programmes highlights that the training is of high quality and it is enabling individuals to rapidly implement their learning in the workplace to create positive organisational change.
