John Kimber MSc MBA BSc

I am a professional executive coach, group facilitator and change facilitator with 20 years experience in consultancy, ten of which were spent with Coopers and Lybrand and PriceWaterhouseCoopers working in Europe and North America with senior client management teams. I enjoy working at the individual, group and organisation level and seek to balance my assignments to give me this mix as I believe experience in each sharpens and informs the others.

Career background

5 years as a consultant with Doctus Consulting.

10 years as a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand/ PriceWaterhouseCoopers (working as a change management consultant/facilitator/coach in the Financial Services sector in Europe and USA).

Since December 1999, I have worked as a facilitator and coach for change in my own company (Vision4Change) and with MaST for a wide range of Blue Chip companies and as well as Public Sector clients.

Specialist field - Performance & Development Coaching

Change Management, Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership, Team Building, Work Life Balance.

I use a client-centred approach (based on the work of Carl Rogers i.e. authenticity, acceptance of others and empathy) which uses Egan's helping model and Heron's six category of interventions as a framework.

This approach follows the client's agenda and allows me to be directional/non-directional as the situation demands.

Recent examples

Coached a Marketing Director of a large Financial Institution. Agreed a plan for changing how he used his time and worked with his team. This led to a session facilitating him and his team to discover their shared vision, values and goals for the business.

Acted as coach/observer for an on-going large scale Public Sector Leadership programme.
