Brian Mitchell

Brian Mitchell

Profile and career background

Brian initially studied Architecture at The Bartlett School, where he spent most of his time running the University Drama Society, acting, directing, designing and producing for the theatre.

In 1988, he joined the Bristol Old Vic, subsequently working professionally as an actor in the theatre, television and film for 12 years, during which time he also produced and directed short films and repertory theatre.

Throughout the 90’s Brian used emerging technology and evolving training methods for businesses, conferencing and corporate events to form an enterprise producing animated and live action CD-ROMs for industry, an enterprise which was bought out in 1995.

He began developing feature film ideas for Kennedy Miller Ents in 1995 and subsequently worked for them on both feature films, Babe and Babe-Pig in the city.

Brian joined Carnival Films in 1997 to develop long running returnable drama series for television and having directed development on over 23 live action television dramas, he established an animation slate for Carnival.

IN 2002 Brian developed an effective master-plan and strategy for the Cuban Government and ICAIC Film Studios, Havana, including a $35million build out plan, the initial $5m investment of which he secured in order to develop the first five year theatrical slate for production at the studios.

Brian has been working for MaST for the past two years specializing in video and interactive DVD production as well as delivering theatre based presentation skills and running large events and conferences.
