An experienced HR Business Partner, Tess held a variety of roles working with Marks & Spencer, including Performance Management Specialist this led to an International career in both subsidiary business and working with Franchise partners. Her ability to motivate and develop people led to her change in a career to Learning and Development.
A specialist in the Human Resource cycle covering recruitment, retention, performance management, disciplinary, learning and development and competency frameworks.

Example projects
- Designed and delivered several programmes for managing the Performance Management cycle. These have included FTSE 100 and the Public sector. Has delivered on this subject in UK, Europe, US and North and South Africa and has spoken at conferences on the subject.
- As part of a major business restructure at Marks & Spencer Tess designed and established new job profiles for 900 employees in the Buying groups, this included roles in the newly established International Buying Offices and the development of the new competency framework. Assisted in the creation of the new Buying Academy and the design of specific courses to develop individuals in the skills required.
- Designed and delivered accredited courses in both Strategic Thinking and Negotiating skills as part of the Certificate programme for Public Sector Workers.
- Established the recruitment policy and process for a Public body, with guidelines for Line Managers and HR practitioners emphasising the standards of the current legal framework.
