Talent Management - May 2005
17th May 2005 - The Park Royal, Warrington
This was our first forum in the North after running L&D forums successfully in the South for 4 years.
'Managing Performance - Maximising Talent'
In today's changing market, opportunities are abound for talented professionals.
In order to streamline profitability and give greater returns to shareholders, organisations need to recognise and utilise their talent. However, many employers
don't truly know who their talent are or how to manage them.
By setting in place processes to identify and manage outstanding individuals, organisations can improve performance by encouraging a more loyal and motivated
workforce.
This Forum will focus on finding solutions to overcome some common problems and misconceptions about talent management. We will discuss and debate issues such
as:
- The need for talent management
- How to spot talent in an organisation
- Common barriers to achieving best practice talent management
- Best practice positive experiences
Summary of forum
It was good to see many of our clients at our first forum to be run in the North West.
The topic is relevant to all organisations from every industry and the debates that took place in the North West proved the case again.
It was a great opportunity for many to discuss and think about talent and performance management away from the office to put it in perspective and get
ideas for how it may be handled in the future.
Delegates shared their experiences and learned from each other how performance is managed in other organisations. This allowed them to look ahead and think
about the people they have in place within their organisations.
Thank you to everyone who attended this forum and took part in the debates and discussions.
