Leadership Development
Tuesday 4 October 2005 - Kirtons Farm Hotel, Reading
Tuesday 11 October 2005 – Novotel Tower Bridge
There are many different ideas and approaches to Leadership, yet managers often continue to be uncertain about what is expected of them as leaders.
During the morning, the delegates had the opportunity to look at different approaches to leadership which included work by Stephen Covey, Warren Bennis and Daniel Goleman. We discussed how some different approaches are used in organisations and what if anything was missing from them in relation to the reality of the delegates own organisations.
Delegates were also asked to share some stories and examples of good leaders that they have worked with and what they did that made them such a good leader – the skills, behaviours and qualities that they demonstrated.
What our delegates said:
‘Approaches worked for me, good combination of input, discussion, and networking’
‘Very well organised. Excellent opportunity to network, mixed with real life discussions’
‘Thank you – useful to hear how others are tackling this issue in their organisation’
‘Food for thought’
‘Informal structure and atmosphere which encourages networking and discussion’
