Singapore

At the end of May the 11th World HR Congress was held in Singapore. This bi-annual event was organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) and attracted some 2000 delegates, including 400 CEOs; from 62 countries.

A Business-Connect Exhibition was run in parallel to the Congress and for the first time in Asia we took a booth. We concentrated our display on the new MaSTer suite of programmes – MaSTer Manager, MaSTer Leader and MaSTering Fast Change, along with the Dr Rick Brandon Organizational Savvy programme.

To showcase our new partnership with Persona Global in the region, we shared the stand with them. Their President and founder, Jon Gornstein joined us on the stand.

The majority of visitors were of senior, decision-making level and the range of international delegates was very wide. We enjoyed several entertaining exchanges with some representatives of the Mongolian HR delegation, none of whom spoke any English but seemed much taken with both our toys and continual supply of mints!

The next HR World Congress event will be combined with HRD in London in 2008.
