MaST can manage both large and small scale events including:
- Away days for small teams tackling specific issues.
- Learning and development conferences.
- Internal communications conferences.
- Special and annual general meetings.
- Product launches.
We can handle the design, logistics and technical production of events within both large and small scale arenas and can also advise clients, source venues and work as partners 'in house'. We can design, write and produce individual components within events, either working with our clients or other facility companies and provide innovative entertainment using the resources and expertise of MaST Theatre.
We can provide specialist facilitators and presenters with appropriate sector backgrounds and experience and can also provide celebrity and/or professionally recognised personnel appropriate to our client's needs.
Our background as a Learning & Development company inevitably brings a special expertise to our events. We summarise this as a primary concern with ideas, communication and the acquisition of skills.
We have designed enjoyable and instructive events that combine elements of formal conference presentation, training work shops and entertainment. This can be particularly useful if team building is one of your aims.
Case studies
- A major security company sought an interactive conference with a strong training element. We devised a full day's programme around an unfolding drama using MaST Theatre. Events were interspersed with relevant and speedy training sessions. The topics, (in this case Negotiating Skills, Persuading & Influencing Strategies and Presentation Skills), were put into immediate practise within the imaginary scenario. This framework provided team building activities that culminated in pitches, presentations and prizes. The usual elements of an annual conference were seamlessly incorporated in this format whilst we provided a day of surprises, discovery and fun.
- For a U.K. Government agency's conference, we provided a consultant to manage the day's agenda and facilitate debate on key organisational issues with the delegates. The agenda was flexible, responding to the issues raised. Role-players were on hand to demonstrate both the status quo and changes that were already occurring within the organisation. Suggestions on how further changes in behaviour might similarly provide improvements were also realised by the actors. Issues were captured live on screen and were refined during the event itself by the delegates working with our facilitator. This technique provided a Summary Report and Action Plan by the close of the conference, a document that proved invaluable in the development of the agency's practice.
- We undertook a large scale conference in Dubai for an international pharmaceutical company. An original play, presented in several episodes, provided continuity throughout the event. We produced this using well known television actors. The storyline was carried forward by all the senior directors addressing the conference. We rehearsed with them to ensure the theme was maintained throughout. The lively event successfully introduced a new product to the company's staff in a highly original way.
