We produce high quality videos in all formats to cover any subject. Our own in-house team handle all client liaison, development, writing, casting and technical production.

Most of our work is produced for clients to use as an internal training or awareness tool. It might be a 'stand-alone' product, but we also produce videos that are used within live training programmes that we deliver for clients. We are also able to produce video versions of our bespoke programmes that allow our clients to cascade their training through to a large number of employees.

Over the past 12 months MaST Theatre has built on its considerable experience creating bespoke training films for clients by developing and designing interactive DVD experiences. These might be used as a 'stand-alone' product or used within live training programmes that we deliver with actors.

Having researched and explored ways in which this relatively new media can be used to create large-scale roll outs of specific information to individuals, MaST has used DVD-5 technology to create an intriguing and effective training tool.

As with the live theatre events, scripts are written with specific 'branches' of plot that unravel after decision points are reached by the user. Like a simple computer game, a film clip is launched and a dramatised scenario then builds quickly to a decision point that presents the user with two or more choices. These could be based on behaviours demonstrated by the actors in the scenario, particular elements of corporate practice, diversity, or even branding and product information. The user moves his or her cursor over the answer they want to choose and once they click on their chosen answer, a further film clip is launched.

In this way, a powerful 20 minute learning experience can be created for individuals or teams within an organisation. Results can be polled back to the company or votes can be cast towards particular live events that delegates are participating in.

Using professional actors, we can also make informative and entertaining audio recordings which can be used to follow up a training day, reinforcing key messages.

There is also a web-based site application that we can now supply securely to clients who host intranet sites. We are currently designing, building and delivering web sites to multinational enterprises in all fields of industry.

Case Studies

  • An international property and estate management company who were launching a new world wide computer database, needed staff 'buy-in'. We developed a scenario which would deliver factual information about the new system and introduce a fictional setting where employees' responses to the change and implementation issues were considered. The factual information was presented by senior executives to camera and also through graphic on-screen demonstrations of the data management system in action. The drama element considered the human response to the changes involved. It developed the situation from employees' initial questioning and resistance through a demonstration of the benefits to an understanding and acceptance of the system.
  • For an international pharmaceutical company we produced a full length video demonstrating how a complex and innovative performance related bonus system would operate.
  • We have produced a complex interactive DVD launching a values and principles initiative launched by a major pharmaceuticals company following a merger.
  • We have produced our own Priority Management Training video which is available as a stand-alone product.
